According to a statement issued on Thursday, teachers and examination staff will soon be vaccinated to reduce the damage to the education sector caused by the coronavirus.

According to a spokesman for the Ministry of Education, it has been decided to complete the process of vaccinating teachers by June 5.

Examination staff and sports staff will be vaccinated before the exams begin.
The Ministry of Education has requested the NCOC to assist the provinces in this regard.
According to the spokesperson, letters have been sent to the provincial chief secretaries for the vaccination of teachers.

In this regard, Punjab Education Minister Murad Ross's tweet has also come to light in which he has asked to introduce corona vaccine for teachers as soon as possible.


Earlier, the process of vaccination was started in different stages in the country. Vaccination of doctors and paramedics in the first phase began on February 2, while the second phase vaccinated senior citizens over the age of 60.

In the third phase, the process of vaccination was started for the citizens above 50 years of age while in the fourth phase, the process of vaccination was started for the citizens above 40 years of age.

Registration for the vaccination of citizens over the age of 30 has started from May 16.
The NCOC announced on social networking site Twitter that people over the age of 30 can register themselves by sending their ID card number to 1166.
