The plan to provide stipends to children from primary to secondary will start in July.

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Dr. Sania Nishtar has said that the provision of scholarships to children from primary to secondary under Ehsas program will start from July 1.

She was addressing a function held here on the occasion of the launch of Ehsas Bachat Bank Account from Islamabad. Prime Minister Imran Khan was also present on the occasion. The Ehsas program has seven goals and 270 initiatives, he said. The Ehsas team is working hard to accomplish this.

Dr. Sania Nishtar said that steps have been taken to make the program effective and transparent. There are 32 points to ensure honesty, there are 32 dashboards to monitor it, which are reviewed in the monthly review meeting.

"Transparency and prevention of corruption is our mission," he said. The survey for the Ehsas Kafalat program is 88% complete. The Prime Minister will inaugurate the One Window for two weeks. 7 million families are currently benefiting from the Ehsas Kifalat program, a summary has been sent to expand it.

The Special Assistant said that the children are currently being given scholarships up to primary under this program and it will be extended from July 1 to secondary.

He said that after the completion of the survey, desks would be set up at the tehsil level where the remaining deserving people would be able to register.
